Auschwitz. Now. is the latest exhibition from the Holocaust and Antisemitism Foundation, Aotearoa New Zealand, and showing at the National Army Museum Te Mata Toa until 28 April 2024.

Auschwitz is situated in Poland. It was the site of an estimated 1.3 million murders during WWII, 1.1 million of which were people of Jewish faith. The exhibition showcases the portraits and moving testimonies of Holocaust survivors who were children or teenagers during WWII, along with photos taken recently in Auschwitz.

We hope by hosting this exhibition the National Army Museum can empower the public to acknowledge and remember the loss of so many victims, and honour those who survived. This exhibition helps us to contemplate our moral obligations to do more when confronted with prejudice, injustice, and hatred.
